To serve our community by returning USL Professional Soccer to the area in a stadium that maximizes the fan experience, builds a loyal and passionate following, and creates pride for our region while enhancing economic impact.
Reno is one of the fastest growing communities in the country and there is demand for professional sports here. Not only are Nevada residents sports fans, but Reno is home to an active soccer culture with thousands of players at all ages participating in youth, adult and indoor soccer leagues. University of Nevada, Reno is also home to an active men’s and women’s athletic department. In 2023, Reno was named the happiest place to live in the U.S., according to Outside Magazine, which is dedicated to people who enjoy an active lifestyle, including outdoor sports All of these factors mean northern Nevada is ready for a club to rally behind. Reno Pro Soccer will have a dedicated front office staff, who’s laser focused on bringing the best soccer product ever to Reno and the northern Nevada community.
The goal is to bring a professional men’s and women’s soccer team to Reno. The competition level of each team will be determined based on several factors, including capitalization, ultimate ownership group and the size and scale of the stadium and ancillary real estate development.
The name has not been decided yet. We are excited to engage local community members to help shape the identity of the team so we can build a brand that truly represents the community.
We are finalizing our timeline, but our kickoff year will depend on stadium construction.

At our soon to be built stadium in Reno.
The financing of a stadium is still being determined and could include a combination of sources. We are exploring multiple options, including public-private partnerships and/or private or public financing.
A timeline has not been determined at this point. We will provide updates as our plans are finalized.
We have future plans to bring a training facility to northern Nevada that would serve as a homebase for our team to train as well as provide access for community use.
We look forward to engaging with our community’s existing youth soccer clubs to explore ways to partner and collaborate with one another. Then our hope is to have a youth club at some point in the future.
We anticipate the club will have a positive economic impact on our community. Our stadium will attract visitors and families to a parcel of town they don’t often frequent but has immense potential. The increased tourism will be a huge boon for the local businesses in our district and will be a source of pride for local residents in our community.
The local government is very supportive of the project. We’ve already engaged with Reno City Council, Sparks City Council, Washoe County Commission, the University, the Latino community, the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA), the Chamber, Economic Development of Western Nevada (EDAWN), Lt. Governor’s office, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).
